Getting to the backwaters

Kumarakom is a lake village about two hours from Kochi. Fly in, drive through coconut groves, and slow right down.

The journey

  1. Fly to Kochi (COK)

    Direct flights from Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Dubai and Doha. Aim to land by Friday noon.

  2. Our shuttle, 2 hours

    Free shuttles leave the airport at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm on Friday. Tell us on the RSVP and we will save you a seat.

  3. Arrive at the lake

    Check in, have a tender coconut, and we will see you on the lawn at 7 for garba.

Good to know

Weather
Warm and dry in December, around 28°C (82°F) by day. Pack a light shawl for the evenings on the water.
Visas
Most international guests can use India's e-Visa. Apply at least four weeks ahead.
Mosquitoes
The lake is beautiful at dusk and so are the mosquitoes. We will have repellent at every event.
Getting dressed
Need a saree draped or a mundu tied? Arjun's cousins are running a dressing room on Saturday from 8 am.
Sunday
A slow brunch from 10 am for everyone still in Kumarakom.
